Terms and conditions

1. Who you are dealing with
parkbid.lol (“parkbid”, “we”, “us”) is operated by the operator of parkbid.lol. You can reach us at hello@parkbid.lol. By using the site or paying to park, you agree to these terms.
2. What parkbid is
parkbid is a novelty paid directory. The site shows a car park. You choose a vehicle, choose a bay, and pay to put your vehicle in it. Your vehicle links out to a website you nominate. That is the whole product.
You are buying placement, nothing else. A bay is not advertising on any other site, not a backlink we make any promise about, and not a review, ranking, award or endorsement. Position in the lot reflects what people have paid, and nothing more.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you are parking on behalf of a company, you confirm you are allowed to do so.
4. Prices, bidding and being towed
Every bay opens at $1, except the VIP bay by the doors, which opens at $5. Prices are shown in US dollars before tax. Some vehicle types cost a multiple of the bay price; the price you will be charged is always shown before you pay.
To take an occupied bay you must beat what the current occupant paid. The asking price is the highest of:
- 120% of what the current occupant paid,
- what they paid plus $1, and
- the bay’s own floor price.
If someone outbids you, your vehicle is towed further back in the lot. You keep a place in the lot and your link keeps working. You do not keep the bay, and you do not keep the value of your bid: your new bay can be taken by anyone for its floor price. If the lot is full when you are outbid, your vehicle is removed from the lot entirely.
This is the entire point of the site. Being outbid is not a fault, a failure of the service, or grounds for a refund.
5. Payment
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. Your contract for the payment itself is with them, they appear on your statement, and they collect any VAT or sales tax due in your country. We never see or store your card details.
Your vehicle is only parked once Dodo confirms the payment. If a payment fails, nothing is parked and the bay stays free.
6. No refunds
Payments are final and we do not offer refunds, including when you are outbid, when you are towed to a bay you like less, when the lot gets busier or quieter than you hoped, or when the traffic your listing receives is not what you expected.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that grants you cancellation rights which cannot be waived, those rights are unaffected by this section. Nothing here removes a right you have by law.
If we remove your listing for breaking these terms, you are not entitled to a refund of any part of what you paid.
7. What you may park
You confirm that the link you submit is one you own or are authorised to promote, and that it does not lead to:
- anything illegal where you are or where we are;
- malware, phishing, or deceptive downloads;
- sexual content, gambling, or content aimed at children;
- hate speech, harassment, or content that promotes violence;
- impersonation of another person, brand or product;
- a redirect chain designed to disguise where the link actually goes.
Vehicle names, plates and taglines are public and subject to the same rules. Keep them clean.
8. Moderation and removal
We may review a listing before it appears. While a listing is awaiting review it holds its bay but shows anonymously.
We can remove any listing at any time, without notice and without refund, if we believe it breaks these terms, exposes us to legal risk, or damages the lot for everyone else. We do not have to explain the decision, and we are not obliged to monitor listings.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display your vehicle name, plate, tagline, colour and link on the site and in anything we publish about the lot, for as long as your listing is up and afterwards in archives, screenshots and stats.
10. Links out of the lot
Every vehicle links to a site we do not control. We do not check, endorse or take responsibility for anything on the other end. Outbound links pass through a redirect that strips query strings, so tracking and affiliate parameters do not survive the click. If your link depends on a query string, it will not work as you expect.
11. Availability
parkbid is a side project and is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of bugs, and we may change how it works, change prices, or close the lot entirely. If we shut it down for good we will try to give reasonable notice, but paying for a bay does not buy a guaranteed period of display.
12. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We make no promise about traffic, clicks, sales, rankings, search visibility, or any other outcome from parking here.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
14. Indemnity
You agree to cover us against claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from what you submitted, where your link leads, or your breach of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own country, and this section does not take that away.
16. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. If a change is significant and you have a listing up, we will try to tell you by email.
17. General
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Failing to enforce something does not waive it. These terms are the whole agreement between us about parkbid.
